we finally handed up our 1st fyp draft last nite! phews.. stayed in the fal till nearly 12. the last time when that happened was during my it proj in year 1? hahas. such a long time ago! got a shock this morn when i woke up! had a missed call from leonard. i was thinking shit! must be sth abt fyp! howhowhow?! so half-asleep me went to on the comp and checked my email. the prof said that he would return us the draft by mar26?!? i was like ?!?!? the deadlines for fyp is on 24th leh! *faints* in the end we found out that there was a mistake. it's 20th. phews. so scarie. was so afraid that the email might be sth negative, like "i'm very disappointed with ur work.." but luckily it wasnt. *sweat*
so well anyway we had a mini celebration at fongseng. my first time there! passed by many times but never eaten there. but den anw the prata sucks. so i dun think i'll be gg back. den we got onto the topic of "how i wished i was in nus" hai! but oh well. no matter what i've already been in ntu for 3 yrs le. but sucky as it is, i'm going to miss being in it! *sigh*
went to cut hair today! finally! byebye split ends! *bleahs* first hair cut with dearie. his hair looks less uncle-ish le. oops. looks so much better! :)
ohyesh i keep forgetting to blog about my finance prof! hahas. it's this b&f module that i'm taking. he really looks like richard gere! haha must read qian's entry about him. superbly funny!
anyway he's really quite a good tutor. teaches with great enthusiasm with a genuine interest in what he's teaching. really diff from the other profs! yups. and he taught us something really useful during our 1st lesson! u noe the timesharing travel programs that duhry companies try to sell to couples? they tried to sell him once...it went like this.....
say u spend $4,000 on travel every year. you expect to live for another 30 years. so in total u would be spending $120,000. the salesperson says that they're offering u an extremely good deal! only 65,000 for 30 years of travel! you save $55,000! but then apparently, if u consider the time value of money, discount these future pymts at let's say 5% to present value terms, the PV of these pymts only amounts to around 40k!
